According to senior horticulture officials, garlic farmers in Madhya Pradesh have suffered huge losses, mainly due to bumper production of crops. This can be reduced to a great extent by proper post-harvest management including grading and storage of crops in cold storages and setting up of food processing units to make various products of the produce to sell it when demand increases.
